Need help getting onto my PC as digital format.

As title says. I have an old VHS I would love to get onto my PC. what is the cheapest way to do this? I currently don't have a VCR player but the car boot sale near me probably will if that helps.
I'd rather not use an external person to do this because some of the stuff on the video.. Although not extreme is a bit... Sketchy. Me and my mates were 15 at the time. Lots of fireworks related shenanigans and driving off road etc.

I figured out a way to do this and as no-one answered I thought I would put it here as it might help someone.

I got a capture card (TV card) on auction site for £10. Just an old thing with composite input. (WinTV)

Plugged VCR into that. And used Raedon ReLive to screen capture the VHS.

Quite easy after all.
