copy rkill.exe or run shutdown on his pc, add it as a task to reboot every 5mins, add it to the startup folder so that even when he finds the task and deletes it, on reboot it'll re-add the task

(until he finds the startup)

net user <enter> (Which displays a list of the users on the computer)
net user <username> * (Which then prompts to change the password, without first requesting the current password)

That's if you can get at his PC for 2 seconds before he locks it.

i'm guessing they are on a domain so unless he has access to AD then theres not much chance of changing the password.
