Not as straight-forwards as it sounds. I reinstalled windows with my hardware upgrade, and it left a windows.old folder with all my old data (handy as I'd forgotten to back it up, hoping it'd just install chipsets and I'd be in business). I moved the windows.old file away to storage for later, but when I boot up I get a prompt asking which win7 install I want to boot from.

I can't see any remnants of a 2nd win7 installation left on the drive, and I disabled booting from the other 2 drives so I'm assuming it's not trying to boot from the .old folder.

Can anyone shed some light on this as it's already starting to bug me.

Thanks!

Run msconfig from the RUN box, select the start up tab (or something similar) and click the Check All Boot Paths button. Should sort your issue :)
