Hi bought a dell laptop and its got one 500gb hard drive on it, however dell decided to partion it up so that my C drive the where the main OS drive is installed only has 50gb space whilst they created another partion with 400gb.

My problem is steam is installed on the C drive and I got no space to install games and it can't go on the other partition. Is there anyway to increase the available space? Can I increase the drive to 80gb whilst dropping the other partion down?

Click Start > Type "partition" into the search bar > click on "create and format hard disk partitons"

You can change, make or delete partitons on there

By the looks of things you dont use the partition at all, might be easier to just deleted the 400GB partition and then expand the 50GB to 450GB...

There are plenty of 3rd party programs around that can do this but you should be able to do it in windows.

Right click 'computer' and select manage.
Select Disc managment

Edit: Beaten to it lol

Right click on the 400GB partiton, click "shrink volume" > Enter how much you want to shrink it by > right click on the 50GB > "Expand Volume" > enter the maximum > done :)
