Need help installing Windows 7 for first time.

Hello there,
I have just got windows 7 and I am trying to install it, I put the disk in and it goes to a black screen which says "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key".
I press a key and it just pops up again, I have restarted several times but it keeps happening.

Please help.
 
I press F11 and it took me to the asrock uefi setup utility.
There is a box that says please select boot device, and in that says SATA: ST500DM002-1BC142. Im guessing thats the HDD, and theres nothing else.
 
I have a 500GB HDD, Intel Core I5 2500K, ASROCK Z68 Extreme4 Gen3, 8GB of kingston ddr3 ram. The DVD drive is connected with a SATA cable.
 
Press F2 or Delete to run UEFI setup.
Press F6 for Instant Flash.
Press F11 for Boot menu.
Press TAB to switch screen.

Those are my options.
 
Well the DVD drive is plugged in properly (power and sata) I plugged the sata cable into another port but its still not showing up.
 
I just connected the DVD sata cable into the port where the HDD is and it was detected, but the HDD wasnt and I just plugged the HDD into the port above the DVD drive and now none are being detected.
 
And when i plug the HDD into any other port, the only boot devices that come up are - SATA: Optiarc DVD RW AD-7280S and UEFI: Optiarc DVD RW AD-7280S,
does this mean the HDD isnt being detected?
