Hi guys,

I have corsair H80 for my CPU (i7 2600k) but i have 3 x GTX 580 3GB in Tri SLI.

Now then, i have a HAF X case and was told/read the air cooling would be sufficient enough to run the 3 cards in SLI with no problems.

However, my top card (card1) is over heating after about 10 minutes of gameplay (shuts down at approx 97c).

The other two cards get to about 70c - 80c. I have tried everything with regards to correct airflow etc for the cards but nothing helps.

The only other alternative is to go with watercooling (this will also reduce the noise significantly from those noisy fans!).

Now then, i have never had a real water cooling setup and want to cool all 3 GPU's if possible. How would i go about this and does anyone have a run down of the full spec i would need to build/setup a water cooling system.

Thanks,

Shep.

If the cpu temp is fine u can leave that out the loop and just cool the 3 cards as it will make it easyer for a beginner, u will need a pump, res, rad(s) and gpu blocks and also fittings, tubing and fans, Overclockers watercooling section is a bit limited but i will pick parts from it what i can.
Pump
Res
Rad
Gpu blocks x3
U will also need 2 fittings for each component and maybe 2 metres of tubing, the tubing needs to have the same ID/OD as the fittings.
I'll leave it at that and see what other ppl post as not totally sure that pump will powerfull enough to run thoes 3 blocks but the MCP355/655 which i would choose are not on this site and for the res i would go with a pump top one but again it's not on the site.
There are also loads of watercooling guides on the web that u would be encouraged into reading as to get more of an idea of how it all works and how to plan the build out before purchasing.

Have a look at the link in my sig :)

You can keep the same pump, reservoir and CPU block.
I would change the rad to a black ice SR-1 360mm as it has better cooling capacity if you want silence. If you don't mind some fan noise then get the black ice gt extreme 360.

For the blocks you'll need 3 GTX 580 nickel plexi blocks (look the best IMO)
For fittings, 14 of these will be more than enough

Tubing wise, 3 metres will be more than enough.

For the fluid i would recommend getting distiller water and adding some drips of mayhems dye if you want colour. Also don't forget a silver kill coil.

I think that answers all your questions ;)
