NEED HELP NOW PLEASE!!

I have just switched my new build on, everything powers up and the MOBO has its green light on.

However, there is nothing showing on the montior! I have tried it with the HDMI and VGA on the graphics card. Should it be plugged into the graphics card straight away?? I have a vapor-x 5770 1gb, and i have it in the correct slot on the MOBO and also plugged in a connector from the PSU into to it.

Any Ideas where im going wrong?

Is the 8 pin for cpu power connected?
Are the ram in the correct slots, did this on my built.

Also try a CMOS reset.

Whats the spec of your build?
Have you tried booting with only minimal hardware in the mobo ? 1 stick of ram, cpu, gfx

I could run down the full checklist, but from experience I have found that if you take a few pictures and post them here, you will get to the bottom of the problem faster. Would this be possible?

Also, what is your full spec?

im struggling to find a four pin cable on my psu or any of the extra cables i got with it. its an antec truepower 650w. I have loads of 6 pins (2x3) but cant see a 4 one. cant be right surely?

Intel gulftown 6 core .... I wish hahahahaha...... I got amd 965be, 5770 vapor-x 1gb, 650w antec truepower psu, lancool pc-k62 case, 4gb g-skill ddr3, cold cathode tubes which are sound sensitive!!!!! they are quality, i also have windows 7, h50-1 cpu cooler, asus mobo of some kind..... i will make a new post tomorrow with pics and everything, bedtime for me

hahaha been stressfull!!! First build and 800quid spent i was fingers crossed

Yeah well the most simple of things please me haha.
