Ok so i recently bought a new mobo, that supports ddr3 1333mhz OC. I went into the bios and it said 1333mhz so I figured it was working.

But according to CPU-Z DRAM Frequency is 527mhz, Am I missing something?

anyways. I'm looking for a guide, or better yet a program that will boost the ram speed up for me. thanks :)

DDR stands for double data rate; your RAM clock is at 527MHz but its an effective 1333MHz; everything is working correctly! edit: im an idiot... 527 x2 is 1054 listen to the guy below haha

If you want to speed it up still and you have the facility to on your motherboard then all you need to do is increase the bclk value until your system becomes unstable, you can test this with memtest and prime 95 (note that increasing bclk will also OC your CPU).

You should be able to get a small increase in speed this way, if you want to get more advanced with changes in voltage etc. there are plenty of overclocking guides out there.

Hope this helps

527 X 2 = 1054MHz (close enough to 1066MHz)

The 527 is the actual speed....the 1066 is the DDR effective speed... (DDR stands for Double Data rate because the IC's on the memory module can send and recieve data on the rise AND fall of the clock cycle.

So...to run your RAM (if it is 1333MHZ) AT 1333MHZ, you need to set its speed correctly.

Might help if u can tell us what board u have and what RAM??? (Kind of relevant :D)
