Just out of interest, when overclocking, is it normal to have the fsb and ram running at different speeds? If your ram can't take it, is it ok to run it at lower speed or is it best to keep it 1:1?

need help on my OC to keep the game stable.

its prime 2 hours stable, and OCCT 2 hours stable, but not game stable..... furmark and ati tool dont caus the GPU any errors, or any crashing....

Assuming that you’re using a multiplier of 8.5, I can’t understand why you have to push a Q9550 to 467 FSB. That is 4GHz. I don’t want to believe that a 3.4-3.6GHz overclock wouldn’t do the trick for your gaming. I haven’t even bothered to mess with voltages on mine, and it’s doing 3.4GHz on 1.176 voltage.

mmmm its a overclocking forum so i guess he wants maximum overclock!!, which should be 4G+ on that cpu and mobo

it should be but its not. i have had over an hour stable, while mucking about with the gtls and clock skews for nb, but it still crashes games, 2+ hours stable on prime blend and 2 hours on small ffts

Why you only testing for 2 hours? Run a few passes of intel burn test at max stress then if it passes and you get 8 hours stable with prime on all four cores its gotta be a graphics problem. Whats your full spec?

i never knew games can be so demanding that a quad at 2.83Ghz cant take it, assuming you have a decent graphics card as you spent so much on cpu. what game is it? maybe it didn't install properly and might wana try reinstalling, or the guy above might eb right it can be your gfx, you can try reinstalling the drivers for that and see does that help
