need help on choosing card.

Hi there i mainly use my imac 27 2560x1440 monitor.
im wanting to link up my pc to the imac using displayport.
i was looking " getting a second hand ati 5970 or 2 brand new nvidia gtx 460 1gb cards in sli. im wanting smooth gameplay @ 2560x1440 what would be my best choice. thx in response.

The 5970, as it has displayport. If I was you, I would wait until October for the 6000 series.
