Right, so I'm looking to do my first overclocking only I can't even access the BIOS. When I try to a quick error pops up saying "No Hard Disk detected" and quickly loads up the OS without any real time to see the error.
As its probally important here are the rigs specs, I assume only the motherboard is needed but heres just about everything just in case.

Power Supply: Thermaltake Toughpower 1000W Modular
Processor: Core i7 965 Extreme Edition
CPU Cooler: Akasa AK-967 Nero Direct Contact Heatpipe CPU Cooler
Graphics Card: 2 x BFG GeForce GTX 285 OC 1GB PCI Express 2.0 in SLI
Memory: 6GB Corsair DDR3 1600MHz C9 Triple Channel
Motherboard: Asus P6T Deluxe
Operating System: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium (64-bit)

I know I should have got a 920 processor but I hadn't done any reading up on overclocking and these forums beforehand so didn't realise the similar overclocking potential.
Oh, one more noob question if you will. When running CoreTemp four core temperatures appear, is that right for one cpu? Thanks in advance, hope to get the overclocking started after I return from university tommorrow afternoon.

You sure you need to overclock that!? Haha, pretty impressive specs for sombody at uni! Supposed to be a poor student! :p

Anyway, not sure about the error message, but to answer the simpler part of your post, the i7 is a quad core processor and thats why you get four temperatures, you get one for each core.

Allright, thanks for the info on the core temp readings. I was under the impression it was registering 4 CPU's so thats cleared that up. Know if anyone can help with accessing the BIOS it would be very much appreciated. Anyway, have to run to class now. :)
