I am new to custom building PCs and really need a new one, although I was wondering If I could re-use some things from my current PC. I will be using it for Gaming and Video editing, so not sure what I need to upgrade, or to just buy everything.

I used a program called SiSoftware Sandra to get an over view on my PCs hardware and wrapped them in code to make the thread smaller.

What do I need to upgrade?

Hello and welcome to the forums :)

Do you have a budget in mind, there is probably not a lot we can use from your current system, you could sell some parts to help fund the née system.

You're probably be looking to reuse the case, PSU (if it's a good one and has enough power for the new video card you'd want to get to play new games) and DVD drive. You could reuse your HDD if you don't mind missing out on the opportunity to get a faster new one.

If you have an OEM copy of Vista you could have a go at getting it installed on your new motherboard, but you might have to phone Microsoft up to get it activated, so not guaranteed.

Obviously if he has the money then I'd agree that he should really be getting a new case and PSU, but he asked what he could re-use, technically you can, even if it is not a popular option. I'm not recommending it.
This all depends on the budget tho.

The baby system?

Although as mentioned, I'd sell off those parts to fund the new PC.
Seeing as its a dell, the case will be horrible and the PC fairly naff, I wouldn't reuse.

We really need a budget and uses before we can spec anything though!
