hi guys,

Trying to upgrade my current pc on a low budget of £400 if possible to be able to play BF4 and dark souls 2 which i can on current spec but only at med to low settings and mmos only on very low settings :(

I need these

Motherboard
Graphics Card ( with DVI & HDMI )
Memory
CPU

Would i be better using a SSD these days instead of normal internal?

----------------
this is my current pc at the moment i know its old but its done me proud :)

Amd 7750 black edition
Gigabyte GA-MA770-UD3
Radeon HD 5750 512
DDR2 4gb
550 PSU recent corsair

Dont Need PSU/ATX TOWER/HDD/DVD Drive

Massive thanks for any help or advice in advance :)

Stay away from SSD on such a budget, i also recommend AMD for platform choice.

I do not have exact prices, so please excuse price mistakes.

AMD FX 6300.
8GB Team Group DDR3 1600mhz choose cheapest.
Asus M5A97 board, i think there is a rev 2.0 of this model.
Coolermaster hyper 212 cooler.
AMD R9 270 2GB.

thanks i really appreciate that info guys.

so best for gaming ? amd or intel ! or will they both be ok

also if i had an extra £50 what would be a cool tower to go for please guys cos i seam to always have to leave my tower side half off or it gets so hot and freezes sometimes

What is your current case? I'd be inclined to put any extra budget into a better cooler for the CPU or an SSD.

What case do you have, so we can spec you a cooler to fit.

The AMD spec I posted is a pretty decent upgrade, coupled with a decent cooler, you should get a very good OC for added performance. The Gpu can always be upgraded in the future.

There is a few razor mice for around £30.
I had the RAT 3 which i liked that was around £30. To be honest stick with a reputable maker and get one you like the look of.

hi

yeah was going great i bought the mouse and case from oc then BOOM! our fridge freezer breaks and cant live without a fridge or the wife would kill me lol. so finally will have my money saved up for next week for round 2 :)

but will have £500 so can i do better on anything please with the little extra cash
