Gius I'm on virgins 100/120mb connection and I'm currently using a Belkin n1 router. It has the perfect range for me but the wireless drop outs are driving me insane. It's using the latest firmware and I've tried various channels. I have loads of wireless devices so it's a must in my home. I used to use a buffalo wrt54gl and it never fail me. Can anyone either help me solve this probelm or just help me pick a good router with good range and has gigabit ports, I don't want to spend loads of money on this either.

+1 for the Asus RT-N56U. The wireless is excellent, but if you feel you need something more than something that's already excellent and don't mind the price, go for the RT-N66U.

I take it the custom firmware is dd-wrt or tomato people are installing on the Asus? Also what would be people's second choice for similar or less money?

ok guys i finally disconnected the belkin as it should be called a melting n1, bit the bullet and ordered the asus from ocuk....hopefully this sorts my probs. back to battlefield 3 now thank god!
