Hi

Here is my proposed set up at the moment although this might change slightly -

Intel® Core™i7 Processor Extreme Edition i7-975 (3.33GHz) 6.4GTs/8MB Cache
ASUS P6T DELUXE V2: DDR3, 2-Way SLI & CrossFireX
2GB ATI RADEON™ HD 5970 PCI EXPRESS
COOLERMASTER V8 EXTREME CPU COOLER
2x 80GB Intel® X25-M (34nm) HIGH PERFORMANCE 2.5" SSD (upto 250MB/sR | 70MB/sW)

Im stuck to which case would be best?
I want something that will keep everything cool without making too much noise and be big enough for everything and if I went crossfire/sli in the future.

The Coolermaster Cosmos 1000 Case
The Coolermaster CM Storm Sniper Case
The Coolermaster HAF 932 Case
The Coolermaster HAF 922 Case
The Antec 900 Case

are the ones im looking at but which one would be best?

thanks
JJ

The Antec 900 Case

Will a 5970 fit in either of these 3 cases???

I remember seeing a pic of that card fitted inside an Antec 1200 and it only just fitted inside that case..

Here's the pic I'm referring to:

Have you got all of that hardware you've listed above already?

If not, then I'd suggest ditching the 975 and just going with the 920 instead, also, regarding the cooler, there are WAY better heatsinks available than the Coolermaster V8..

I think you need to research into which cases are actually able to fit a 5970 inside, as that card is huge!!

Full tower cases from Lian Li and Silverstone would be a good place to start..

::edit::

The Corsair Obsidian is another really nice case you might want to check out.

HAF 932
An I agree with Davy, unless you have a lot of money to play around with, drop the 975 and get the 920 instead.

I prefer ACTs 840 over HAF 932. Similar air performance, but with filter, and bigger.

And I agreed with Orcvader and Davy, if you really have money, drop the 975, and wait for the gulf town, it out next month ^^. 920 is way better in term of price per performance, and can go to 4.0 easy.

Case itself won't make noise but you're putting something very noisy into it and open cases are acoustically as good as parts on table.
So if you would like that noise to be muffled instead look into CM ATCS 840 and Lian Li A71FB, both also eat longest possible graphics cards as appetizer and ask for some more.
(heck, In Lian Li you could just put those two SSDs to top cage and remove main HDD cage for half meters of space)

E-ATX cases are only ones to surely fit it.
And 900 is even slightly shorter in depth than already smallish non E-ATX 1200.

I think better wording instead of "play around with" is "throw into wind".
