also you say your getting green lights showing on your gpu, can you confirm that it's fan(s) are spinning up?

I take it youve tried each card seperatly? No-one seems to have suggested that however obvious it may be.

it's not a pair of individual cards mate, it's 2 gpu cores built onto the same board

i have a single 9800gt n this thing struggles with heat..

i even force gpu fan to 100% on windows startup but some sort of bios bug causes it to drop fan to 35% when it hits 70C which it can easly do

ima gunna guess as you have a x2 its pretty much melted lol heck ive seen mine hit 115C in cs:s after not noticing the fan drop itself to 35%.. thats when i get audio stuttering n monitors go all crazy colours pc locks up..

ive prime95'd my build for severl hours n its stable there so.. defo gpu causing my issues

id beg/borrow/steal a gpu from somewere to test it, being a WOW player im gunna presume u have a 2nd monitor (lol alts ***) if/when you get it working again i recomend having aida64 or cpu-id hardware monitor pro running in the background so you can monitor temps

My mate has a pair of cars I can borrow, i don't know what cards they are but I do know they are about 5 years old

yup changed card and has now booted fine,
im guessing that the card has dropped its load

maybe use that card you borroed for a while n watch its temps.. rule out ais airflow as a problem, gunna wanna get it fixed if it is before you go buying a new card

Yeah deffo,
It's been fine all day on WOW still nice and cool,
I googled my card and mb together and their is a design problem with the compatability apparently the card blows hot air onto the mb's south bridge causing the card to over heat
