need help please

i have put my new rig together and it all seems to be in the right place but when i boot up i get nothing from the monitor, the light on the motherboard is green and all fans are working.

i dont get any sound also.
not sure what to do, any suggestion would be great

Have you checked that you have all the power cables plugged in - 24pin to motherboard, 4/8pin to cpu, molex to motherboard for vga (only needed for sli but can help to have it plugged in), vga card power cable.

Also make sure vga card is pushed in firmly and that your monitor is set to the right input i.e if your using vga cable then its set to vga rather than dvi.

As for sound thats normal until you install the drivers

So you not even getting the board Bios sign on moniter from board?

Strange would follow advice and re-seat everything and check plugs.

ok up and running now, the case is a little noisy considering it supposed to be a silent case, and the cpu temp is 40c and thats with a 64 freezer pro.
is this normal / ok?
