Need help please

Hi all, just joined this forum in the hope that maybe I can get some advice. Long story short, Christmas is coming and my son has asked for a gaming pc. He is 8 years old and has been playing for a couple of years now and is good. He currently plays on a Xbox series x. The games he plays are mainly Fortnite, sometimes Roblox and that’s really about it. I know absolutely nothing about computers and I’m looking for a complete set up but don’t want to spend thousands but definitely want something that is half decent to start with. maybe a Black Friday deal etc my budget is ideally between £500-£1000. Any advise is much appreciated.

Does this need to be built already, or are you willing to build?

The GPU in the Xbox Series X is pretty powerful (I believe around a RX 6700 non-XT), so not super easy to make a superior PC for the budget you have, especially at the lower-end of your price range and including the peripherals/monitor.

The cooler in the below self-build spec is optional (there's one in the CPU box).
