Need help plz

Can anyone tell me if the hyper 480-r psu will work this motherboard. I d/l the manual and I'm confused. The site show's a 4 pin power connection in the top left corner, but the book refers to a 8 pin connector.

M/b is a Asus P5WD2 Intel 955X (Socket LGA775)

The psu I'm using doesn't have the 8 way connector and just using the four with the psu, it won't boot, fans turn and hd's spin up. Even taking the memory out, it doesn't beep. I've tried 2 cpu's and still no joy.


Can anyone help?

i got the same prob with my comp i have now, its doesnt boot up, about 2 seconds of fans at 100% and drives spinning, then cuts of again.... its def the psu, i tried a spare one from my mates comp yesterday, and it worked, so im going out later to get a cheap 400w one to last me till i get my new rig
