Hi folks,

well.. work has set me the task of finding the smallest, cheapest way of running a slideshow from a computer sat inside a machine which has limited space.. but enough room for a small "cube" case. the presentation will be run on a screen infront of a machine in the format of a screensaver.

It is preferable if the unit is built for us, as it would be impracticable to build them our selves. We are hoping to buy one for every machine we have which is quite a lot. The cheapest i have come up with per pc is £146 + p&p.

Id like to spend a considerable amount less than that...

If anyone could help it would be much apprechiated,

thankyou

P.s. Please email me any details to me at [email protected]

You can run powerpoint off of almost any pocket PC, but I would contact Dell in the morning, tell them how many units you need and ask them to spec you the cheapest PC they do in a small format chassis - I bet they'll be less than £100+VAT for the hardware. I'm assuming you're going to use Linux OpenOffice as the slideshow program rather than Windows/Powerpoint?
