Well it is a half road bike (Scott Sportster P9) which has a knackered rear wheel. Now I am clueless regarding these things but am more than happy to fit a new one with the aid of my friend who can fit a rear wheel, but technical knowledge only extends to MTB's.

Basically it is a 700c rear wheel with a 7 speed cassette, but I am having trouble sourcing a new one as I can only find 8 / 10 + cassette sizes.

I don't want to spend too much money as it is a commuter bike only and the commute is smooth all the way.

Any help would be appreciated.

Just found this - http://www.decathlon.co.uk/rear-700c-wheel-cassette-id_8005016.html

Should be ok?

you can use any 8 speed + wheel as long as you use a 7 speed spacer

im guessing that wheel comes supplied with the spacer included

Don't buy that wheel! It sucks donkey balls.. I've had them stock on my triban 3 and the bearings/hub feel apart after 1k miles. Get something better or buy twice :)
