Hi guys,

I am after some advice.

My son has bluetooth headphones and inbuilt bluetooth on his motherborad, both have been working fine.

He did....something... and now either cannot remember what, or doesnt want to say.

Anyway, cannot get the headphones to connect to the bluetooth on the PC anymore.

The motherboard is an older ASUS P8Z68-V and the headphones hes connecting to (or trying to) are Sony MDR-XB650BT. Running window 10.

When I go onto bluetooth devices and windows and search for a device, nothing is showing. I have tested the headphones with other devices and they are fine. The PC will "occasionally" find a device when its searching for devices, but I am not convinced its working. So;

Tried disabling and re-enabling the bluetooth in windows, no joy.

Ok I thought, maybe the hardware on the motherboard is broken (unlikely but) so we bought him a bluetooth USB dongle (ASUS BT400), disabled the motherboard bluetooth, but again no joy.

Any ideas?

Is it possible to remove a device (eg the headphones) from windows so they would not be listed?

Does the pc have system restore enabled? Could always try restoring it back to when there was no issue and seeing if that fixes or undoes what has changed.
