Right ive been asked by a family friend to price up a media center PC for him. He has at least 200 DVDs most of which he wants stored on the PC. He wants it to have a blu-ray read drive and a tv card is not nesscessary. Also a digital out is required to his amp.
I have a few questions also!! How many extenders can you have linked to a media center pc? He wants 3 if possible!
Also can you get sky to work in a PC so that he can do away with his sky box?
He wants it to fit in with his other home cinema kit so he likes the look of the Zalman media center case in black.
I was thinking along the lines of a core-duo but I dont know if these would be overkill. But I would want to have it set so that ffdshow is upscaling at least to the main TV.
So anyway spec away I have not been given a budget but nothing to pricey just something that will work well for at least 5 years if thats possible!!
