Can someone tell me what Vcore voltage ill need and what FSB ill needa put in, i know if i put 420fsb and dont touch vcore leave as auto it does not boot, and my ram is pushed around 1200mhz or something? just need some advice.

for a 6600 @ 3.2ghz you'll need 356mhz FSB. As for what voltage, just raise it 1 notch at a time till its stable. It varies from chip to chip.

its no wonder it wont boot at 420FSB, thats 3.8ghz llol

oh and BTW selecting "auto" just leaves it default. It wont overclock itself.

ok tryed that but still not stable. do i needa change anything else apart from that vcore volatge ?

You need to do it in small steps. Try taking fsb from 266 to 300 then 333, 366 and 400. Raise the vcore a step when it first becomes unstable. Then just keep raising fsb and vcore until it becomes unstable or temps are too high. Try to keep load temps below 60c, and I personally wouldn't want to go higher than 1.55 vcore. You may also need to raise cpu fsb, nb and sb voltages, depending on your mobo

you may have to face up to the fact your chip wont clock that far

not all chips overclock the same ammount

yours may not do 3.2ghz

only other factor in overclocking is the memory. Try dropping a divider to downclock the memory a bit, see if its the CPU or the memory thats not stable.

I have pretty much the same setup, 400MHzx8 works fine for me to get 3.2GHz. Keeps 1:1 ratio for FSB and RAM too. VCore is 1.4v and stable. I did a thread about someone with similar problems to yours with the Commando and it turned out to be the Geil RAM which is not on the approved list in the MB manual. Cant find the tread at the moment...
