Hello,

I made a post a while ago (http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17882646) since then I RMA'd the graphics card but with the "new" card I have been getting the same problems(please read old post for detailed info on the problem).

BFG 9800GTX 512
Q6600
4GB RAM (OCZ Vista Gold Series DDR2)
PK5 Intel Mobo
OCZ StealthXStream 600w PSU
Windows XP SP2 (64bit)

What else could be causing this, or what can I rule out? The next thing I will be trying is removing a stick of RAM and if the problem continues try the ram in the other slot then try the other stick in both slots. To me this really looks like a graphics card problem though... could it be the motherboard perhaps?

Another annoying thing is its hard to test things because the problem is very sporadic (played a full MTW2 campaign with no problems 20+ hours...).

Anyway I would appreciate any help and suggestions anyone can offer.

Thanks.

Well I read the other thread and you said you are not clocking the card but are you clocking the cpu/ram? It sounds like a ram problem possibly, definately try the ram seperately also try prime95 on blend for a few hours more than you did, it will test the ram more you could also try the intel burn tester I think that hits the ram quite extensively as well and you dont need to run that for too long.

No nothing is overclocked at all, I'll try Intel burn tester tomorrow thanks.

Update - Today I have been testing the RAM and with both modules in I got bad graphical corruption on the warhammer online server screen, With only module 1 in slot 1 I got the same problem but with module 2 in slot 1 I have not had the problem yet..

I had ruled out RAM since memtest gave no errors after over 24 hours but I guess its possible that if the RAM module 1 is the problem and memtest simply could not detect the certain problem? (its quite possible its not the problem though since the corruption does not always happen and i'm speaking too soon but...).

My question... has anyone ever had memtest not detect RAM problems because I have heard people say things like "if you run memtest for x time your RAM is 100% fine".

Thanks
