need help understanding 990FX chipsets

hey guys,

going to be getting a new FX 8350 and 990FX chipset.

im going for a black/red themed build so i was looking at getting the asus crosshair v motherboard, but ive seen that i only need a sub £100 motherboard, is this correct?

so will the gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 be fine? want to get 4.8-5ghz overclock and running a 7990

i want either a all black or red/black motherboard

For AMD your best off with Asus, one of the Evo's, pro's, sabertooth, crosshairs etc.
The UD3 is good if you can get the rev4, but generally you can't find out what version you will get.
As to how much you want to spend depends what features, onboard sound you get etc.

im using a soundcard so not bothered about sound, just want a board that can hold a high overclock and be stable
