need help with 9600gt

please help i have a oced 9600 gt dualslot edition
running gpu@766
shaders 1825
memory @999
when i oc with rivatuner its ok but when i use evga precision
i get weird artifacting that corrupts my desktop too

i always found Nvidia Tools to be a more accurate and reliable overclocking tool.
Make sure you try and keep the GPU & Shader ratio the same as the stock speeds, as if they get too far out of sync you're likely to encounter problems.

Don't use either program, use MSI Afterburner.

msi afterburner gives the same problem
at first i thought it was a problem with driverlevel ocing but rivatuner does driver level too without a hitch or misplaced pixels

Then rivatuner isn't overclocking correctly, or to the same level that the other two apps are. The same clocks will give the same results, regardless of the app used.

If your card artifacts at these clocks with MSI afterburner, then it isn't stable at these clocks.
