Stunning info mate.
Is there a desired combo if one would like to overclock but not sli/crossfire?
The 6950 and 480's are very good cards for overclocking and they're good value for money performance wise.

I've recently built a budget gaming pc for BFBC2,
Athlon II X3 445, 5850, Corsair 430w psu...
Runs beautifully smooth with everything maxed at 1920x1080.
As has been mentioned BFBC2 is pretty CPU dependent, but even el cheapo £55 Athlon II X3 with a slight overclock to 3.5GHz (with the stock cooler) maxed the game out. I honestly find it just as smooth as gaming on it with my [email protected] and overclocked GTX 470.
As people have mentioned the i5 2500k with a 5850 would be a good if you are happy on spending that much, but on the other hand a true Phenom II X4 probably offers best value for money on a budget.
Can vouch for the Sapphire 5850, nice little card, only 8.5" long and runs nearly silent and very cool!
Will certainly be enough to run BC2 at max specs
Overclocking can indeed be done, and will - as with the intel - offer significant boosts.
<10fps minimum, and overclocking the CPU-NB alone can generate an extra 7fps![]()
Personally I wouldn't get the "Phenom" 840, go for the 955 as it has L3 Cache which is useful in games. The Sapphire 5850 is a bargain and would fit very nicely into your budget. It generally performs a bit better than the 1GB GTX 460 across most games.
k cheers guys will go with 955 then, is the psu ok that comes bundled with the elite 430? i plan 2 use 2 hdd![]()
Yeah will be perfectly fine.
You could run it off a CX430![]()
but i thought the mobo only supported 1333mhz?
