Hey all.

Installed a ssd and os recently, i used a modified bios to enable ahci which went fine and could use ahci but then i noticed that the system was freezing now and then.

Sometimes its when i play a game sto about 3 times its been when i have left the computer for awhile listening to music while i sleep and when i wake up the monitors are in standby the computer is on and it wont come back on if i move the mouse for example so reboot is needed.

Just recently i watched a episode of some anime and at the end it froze.

I thought it was the modded bios and ahci so im back on official bios and ide mode and redone the disk drive controllers in device manager. etc

I have checked event viewer and this is the error i get tho i have no idea how i can use this info to track the problem.

and device manager for hard drives, im not sure if that all looks correct.

Please help. Sick of this issue. I would love to know what the cause of this freezing is and how to fix it.

Please remove the first two images.

Provide links or re-size them if you wish to post them as images again.

You may post images providing they are hosted by a well known image hosting website, such as imageshack, photobucket etc.. Directly linking to images on other sites that are not expressly for that purpose (known as Hotlinking) is not permitted. Hotlinked images will be removed with an infraction notice issued. Repeat offenders will be suspended. The sharing of images from your own personal web-space is acceptable providing you are the owner and give permission to do so. However, the OCUK moderation team reserve the right to replace or remove any image that is suspicious of being hotlinked or unknowingly hosted by a members personal web-space, as it is not possible to identify those where permission has been granted or otherwise. Such decisions will not be overturned. To avoid complication, we strongly advise that all images are hosted by a image host as mentioned above, which can be easily identified as so. Images containing nudity, adult or offensive material, including swearing is prohibited. Please check your images before posting. No watermarks or URLs for sites containing content that wouldn't normally be allowed such as competitors, adult sites etc. Any images of such nature will be removed and your account immediately suspended or banned. Unless otherwise agreed by the moderation team, images must no wider than 1024 pixels wide.

Do not think it was needed really but ok. But that rule is quite redundent due to browsers autosizing these days and the fact ocuk forums is full of images over 1024px wide.

corsair 620w, gtx 460 1gb. Those tho are fine freezing only happened with a new install of a ssd and windows so it must be one or the other causing the issue not existing hardware as thats been rock stable.

SSD running latest firmware? Same with motherboard running latest Bios?

I would check that first.

I just done a fresh install yesterday on a new SSD, but made sure the firmware was upto date first.
