My Bro as just bought a Laptop from a toy shop (he knows nothing about computers)

The Laptop is a Gateway Celeron M 420 Laptop, Model MX3101b

He's having problems with it like trying to get online etc. I think the best cause of action would be to do a format and install Windows XP without all the clutter that comes with laptops like this.

So my plan is to take my spare copy of XP Pro and the drivers for his laptop and start a fresh. The problem is i am unable to locate this exact model and get the relevant drivers for it, I've tried google and Gateway but it's like this model doesn't exist beyond the big toy shop

Can anybody help me and point me to a place i can download these drivers?

Thanks

i presume the lappy is brand new?

if so , then it should work straight out of the box, if there is a fault then just take it back and get a replacement.

Yeah it's brand new he got it today, he is having trouble getting it to detect is network and from experience pre-install laptops are usualy full of useless junk and he only has a 40gb hard drive so i thought it might be better to do a clean install as he asn't started using it yet.

Finding this models drivers is proving to be impossible though and i can't find a listing for it on Gateway UK or US for it
