Hey guys,

So I will be off to university later this year and as such, need a powerful compact solution.

I consulted with a few people and came out with something like this, please provide some suggestions and let me know if this will actually fit.

Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 1000G2 1000W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply (£149.59 @ Overclockers.co.uk)
Total: £1872.91

First you post it in wrong thread, but newer mind. Forum admin will move it to right place.

Build looks good it will be a beast of computer. Although I would not buy 2 non-reference cards for such of small case due to the way they dissipate the heat into the case so temps could be quiet high. I would have a look at reviews of this case and see temps of card when in sli as they can be quiet high especially for gtx 980ti .

I'm not an expert in sli as I run gtx 780 in my system so you might want to wait for others to help you further. But I know when you put 2 non reference cards they can run hot if case is not well ventilated plus it's small case too.

Just out of interest what are you going to study at university if I may ask?:D
Hope this helps

What are you doing at uni? If its anything that requires running high usage programs get more cores. Also between games and programs you'll download you might find 500gb isn't enough. I know I need more than that.

Personally I'd ditch the sli 980ti, maybe swap it out for a ROG Swift monitor and just one 980ti. Also on only 1 980ti you could drop down to a lower watt PSU.

Seeing as you are new to the forums this type of advice is given in the General Hardware section. Project Logs are for when you show us all nice pics of your hardware during the build to completion.
Like Sam says it'll be moved by admin, but please come back and show us what you are doing once you start the build :D

Ditch Sli get 980ti reference design is good enough. ;)

Damn double post due to slow internet sorry

I'd agree that SLI with those cards in that case is going to be No Bueno. Not checked the case, but you may want to consider a Hybrid card.
