had the following in my system:
asrock dual sata2,opty 146,2gb gskill memory, enermax liberty 500, xfx 6800gs pci-e, samsung syncmaster 930bf.
problem i have initially started as a gfx card problem where the display was getting corrupted and the system was freezing.
checked all the temps and they seem fine, side of the case has been off in case it was over heating but it made no difference.
tried different graphics drivers without any success, used driver cleaner to ensure the old drivers were cleared off.
did a fresh windows xp install, still had the same problem.
managed to borrow an old 9200 series agp card, re installed windows again, including the agp drivers.
this worked for about 2 hrs then it froze again, this time when i try to power off using the rest button it does nothing just stays powered on.
switch it off at the psu, leave it for a couple of minutes, now when i try to power on everything appears to be power up but the led on the monitor just flashes.
any body any ideas at all ??????
