Is this possible? I see mATX has the same power as standard and ITX is powerful too but less slots etc.

I wanted to get the Gene V board as it looks solid but can't find any decent looking ITX motherboards. Is it a good idea to build a gaming PC in this format or should I stick with standard size, looks like PCs are getting smaller now. I'm coming from a stupidly big Antec 1200 and if I has this Prodigy case I could take my PC to my friends.

Yes it is possible.
Just built one myself and very happy with it.
I went with the ASUS P8Z77-I DELUXE board.
Reason being so I could use any air cooler
Without any issues for clearance.
