I'm basically trying to build a really good gaming system,Any help on if these parts will all work together or conflict would be very much appreciated :) Many thx in advance :)

Quite a few problems with your selection there mate. For starters you've got an AMD cpu with a LG775 mobo. I wouldnt go with that PSU either. Whats your budget and uses for this system?

Oh and that case is fuuuugly

I think ide Bulldoze that case...

anyways the major problem has been said you got an AMD CPU with and Intel socket board.

anyone got any suggestions on an amd mobo? to go with that cpu? And maybe a suggestion for psu?? It's has to be a good psu to be able to support the 9800 gtx+ also the mobo would have to support the 9800 gtx+ as it say's it's a pci-e 2.0( not sure if that makes a diff peeps :/ )

Well presumably he can still read this thread, so I'll support the above views - Core2Duo all the way! No point being loyal to any particular manufacturer, everyone wants to get the best bang for buck and Intel currently provide this. Other components that do the same are the 4850/4870 graphics card (I'm making an assumption that you'll be using the PC for gaming).

I will vote for the Antec 300 case ... just fitted one out myself with a P5Q / E8500 / 4GB OCZ Platinum / 3 extra fans / 2 HDD / Optical Drive ... only got an old X800 card in there at the mo oh the PSU is a corsair VX 450 and all fits really really well and its a really nice understated case with excellent cooling and capacity without being huge.

Well Intel is quite a lot better than AMD at the moment so I would reconsider. Give us a budget and we could hopefully come up with something better for you :)

hiya im Paul's (Garv2506) wife :P he's been suspended till 4pm tomorrow :p so has asked me to post,
im letting him have £1000 but would go slighty over if needed :)

thanks xx :p

Hiya,he said he really had his heart set on a core 2 quad as he's running a duo at the moment and wanted something better. He has been looking through the site and has a few more idea parts in mind and asked me to post them.(he also said thanks very much for the list you have given so far too :) ) This is what he has come up with and would really like your opinions

Ok looking at your spec, the 750W is overkill, go for the Corsair 620 modular. Also change the Q6700 for a Q6600 (overclocks like a beast). The samsung spinpoint f1 640gb is supposedly quicker. Change that 9800GTX+, the 4870 is much the better card, but if he insists on nvidia then go for the GTX260/280.

lol he was just looking at the ati 4870 too just a moment ago :) and aslo glanced past that Q6600 the other day and thought it was good,He wants to know what you think of this:

Also what case should he go for ? the Antec Twelve Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case,or nine hundred,He only wanted the twelve at 1st thinking he needed the space for the g-card would a nine hundred be ok for this card?
