Hi Guys,

Well I did it.... I messed up my choices and my 280x windforce is too big for my antec 300 case. Well the 3.5 bay chassis blocks it just at the pivotal moment.

I only use an SSD drive so I wanted to just take the chassis out but I can't find the right tool for that job. Anyone know what I can use or am I screwed? :)

Cheers

Damn, don't think I have anything to cut it with.....

Think it might have to be a new case

I will probably just get a new case. I will use the case as a test for a home media server now.

Anyone got suggestions for a case? cheaper the better really but has to have size for a gigabyte r9 280x windforce.

That's a lot to think about really. I'm not really bothered about the noise as I have headphones on all the time but the the cooling on the antec sounds pretty good and I'm hoping to get a good clock out of the cpu....

Any of them have issues fitting large heatsinks? more tall then wide

YOUR BASKET
1 x Raijintek Themis Direct Contact CPU Cooler £17.99
Total : £23.96 (includes shipping : £4.98).

Actually I when I upgraded and my old PC in it's Antec 300 went to my wife, I deliberately went with the 302 because it's relatively cheap, but can take a long graphics card and wider heatsinks. I've currently got a Noctua NH-U14S which is 165mm tall. So including some space behind the motherboard tray, standoffs and CPU, and there's still about 1.5 cm spare after a tall heatsink.

The 302 will take that Raijintek with loads of space to spare.

Thanks yeah just saw there is a great clearance with this cooler so will work well.

Might go for the antec then as it's the cheaper option!
