Need Help with choosing new compuer

Okay guys, So I'm into gaming big time... played competitively on many FPS games but love other types of games such as sports and strategy.

I just want a rough idea how good this rig is (picked the parts off the configuration thingy here on OverClockers).

I want High Performance from this computer (Like maxed out settings in all games that are coming out this year with fast loading times and what not).

Such titles that I want this year are: Rome 2 Total War, CoD: Ghost, ARMA 3 and many more just there the top 3!


So any idea what I should change? My budget for this PC (inc vat would be about 2200? maybe 2300).


Please not I dont want you to change the Case or lights if possible as I like the whole blue/white idea

I'm assuming you're getting it built by overclockers?

If so, drop the i7 for an i5, drop down to 8gb ram and get a better GPU

Yes, I'll be using Overclockers, im not smart enough with computers to put together myself unfortunately

Was there something wrong with my original build ? (Or where u saving me from spending stupid amounts of money)

Also, why drop the i7 for the i5? Isnt the i7 the latest out ? (sorry not very good with the whole computer thing, just love playing games on it)

Changed a Piece or two from the first one, any ideas why it doesnt give me the option for the Sound Card?

The Intel Core i5 is a Quad Core, the Intel Core i7 is the same as the i5 however it has hyper threading. This means that the i5 has 4 physical cores, however the i7 has 4 physical and 4 virtual cores. This means the i7 is better at crunching numbers and encoding, it doesn't however improve gaming performance it's more of a workhorse type of improvement.

I made the mistake of buying an i7 when I built my PC and suffered with having to purchase a cheaper GPU.

With the £78 extra for an i7 you will get maybe 1/2 extra FPS. With the £78 put toward a better GPU, your looking at a much higher gain with barely any loss as the i5 is an extremely capable CPU.

What do you mean by "Crunching numbers and encoding", that like software design and stuff yeah?

also if you look at my edited posted above you'll see a new build where i choose the "Gainward GeForce GTX Titan 6144MB GDDR5". From what I've heard its like the best out there to get, is this true?
