Hi. I've just upgraded my GPU but have a dilemma.

My new GPU has 3x display port, 1x DVI and 1x HDMI.

My 3 existing monitors are 2x DVI and 1x HDMI

I'm going to be getting the rift and want to use the front port HDMI connector on my case to plug this in and out as I need it. (So that's the HDMI taken care of).

How am I going to make this all work.

One of the monitors can plug straight into the DVI port.

So that leaves me 1 DVI cable, 1 HDMI cable and only display ports on the card. Can I just buy passive adapters? Will that make any difference to image quality?

I recently bought and DVI to display port adapter. It works. However not ideal. Image quality I find fine for the most part but it's an old screen that isn't even 1080p.

The problem is it flicks on a off (quickly) at random times normally when coming and and out of games. I use my other monitor for gaming. Bit weird. Will probably end up buying a new monitor that has either HDMI or display port.

When you say "fine for the most part" Is the image quality as good as with DVI, can you tell a difference? flickering when coming out of games I can deal with. One of the "monitors" is actually my main TV that I only connect when watching a movie or something. it's infrequently used. So I could make that the DVI to DP one.

Yea I just looked for the adapter on the rain forest and found what I needed.

I got a compact adapter but would advise against it, it's quite wide, so I can't plug anything into the adjacent Display port on the GPU.

@balky12 Both connectors working perfectly.
They are the type that connect and have about 10cm of cable then the other connector. Very nice quality, feel secure. Think they were £5 and £7 or thereabouts.
