Im building my new rig soon,

Case will be Silverstone Raven Rv03
CPU i5 3570K overclocked to 4.5ghz
RAM Corsair Vengeance low profile 8gb

Need a cooler that's easy to fit (don't fancy messing about with a water system or thermal paste), will fit with the above specs and performs very well

£120-£150 for a cooler. I'm looking for the best overall air cooler really, that Phanteks cooler looks a beast, read a review saying it had some noise issues although the review writer sounds as of he didn't house the cooler right?

dose not get the reviews it deserves but for high end moneys the coolermaster AV8 is a beast and looks the part if very large also has a fan speed controler thing.

as for you op about paste any new heatsink will need fresh thermal paste

Eh looks like its back to endless hours of YouTube footage watching people fit things to pc parts. Il check out the cooler master, ideally looking for something black/blue. Not sure how much space the raven rv03 has but il be going with low profile RAM and a single GPU to begin with so should be able to fit most coolers

if you are after a black/blue cooler try the Alpenföhn Matterhorn http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=hs-027-al&groupid=701&catid=57&subcat=1395
its pretty decent, but not as good as the nh-d14 or the k2 or the phanteks ph-tc14pe
comparison here http://www.vortez.net/articles_pages/alpenfoehn_k2_cpu_cooler_revisited,10.html

also you can get the phanteks in blue/white http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-001-PT&groupid=701&catid=57&subcat=1395

i have a NH-D14 and its the easiest cooler to fit, i have ever had

Went for the k2 myself but swapped the front all black fan for a blue bladed Alpenfohn wingboost i already had.

Fan is exact same speed as the stock one, but looks a lot better. Really impressed with how quiet the fans are as well.

Thanks guys have been reading up on the Phanteks, probably will go with it in the black/silver, could always swap out case fans or attach some LEDs for a bit of extra colour. H2 looks alright but Phanteks seems to have the reviews
