Hi guys,

I need some advice on the fan setup in my Xigmatek Elysium as it gets very dusty very quickly.

I have 4 intake and 4 exhaust fans. 3 of the intake fans are on the front of the case but 2 of them are mounted to a radiator, the last one is mounted to the side window.
Then there is 1 exhaust fan on the rear of the case and the other 3 are mounted to another radiator in the roof of the case.

I can't remember if its better to have negative or positive pressure to reduce dust but I don't see how I could achieve either of them.

Anyone got any ideas?

You need to have Positive FILTERED airflow. If the intakes aren't filtered then having positive airflow doesn't make a difference.

Now let me tell you something. You got the same number if intakes as exhausts however the thing is that your intakes are most likely blocked by hard drive cages, the front panel and what not which means that the airflow is reduced... And what does that equate to? You have less air coming in than air going out so air gets sucked into the case through the vents and brings dust along with it.

My suggestions: turn the fan speeds up for the intakes and get fan filters.

The case has fan filters but im guessing that the rad on the front of the case will be blocking a lot of the flow from 2 of the fans.
The fan that's at bottom has no restrictions but is spinning at its slowest possible speed so i will increase the rpm on all 3 front fans and see if that helps.
