Need help with flashing bios.

I have read the manual just to double check im doing everything right as my last boards bios become corrupt, this is the steps I am taking to flash my Asus P5N-E SLI -

1- Download bios'es 0202 0401 0505 from Asus website, from the American part as Europe is unbelievably slow.

2- Make a MS Boot Disk

3- Copy each bios onto its own disk witha copy of award flash from the Asus CD

4- Boot from the MS Boot Disk

5- Swap to a bios disk and type awardflash

6- Type file name and press enter.

Now that seems to be exactly as they tell you in the manul yet I get a message saying "unreadable" on all of the bios disks.

Anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Edit: Just to add, though im not sure if it makes any difference I have been accesing the support pages through the North American servers but downloading from the global servers.

Never mind, I managed to update it through EZ flash in bios, not sure what I was doing wrong in dos???

You only need to download latest BIOS, you don't flash progressive updates. I've flashed my two Asus boards in Windows ok, a few years ago I would have avoided Windows flashing like the plague (would have killed them) Seems ok now.

I downloaded one of each of the bios's so I had spares to hand in case one corrupted, I have had so many bad flashs in the past I like to be precautious.
