Need help with gaming build £500 budget

Hey everyone, I need help choosing components for my first build and finally upgrade from my intel pentium 4, 9500gt. Ive got a budget of around £500 for a cpu, graphics card, psu, ram, motherboard and harddrive. Below is an list that i am contemplating.

Amd phenom ii x4 955 black edition
Msi 870a-g54fx am3 motherboard
Evga gtx 550ti 1gb
Corsair xms3 ddr3 2x4gb
Western digital caviar blue 500gb
Corsair gs600 600w 80+

Any advice would be appreciated.

What case do you have?

Is your optical drive SATA?

Is this for gaming?

You know intel is faster right?

Hi stulid, the optical drive is sata yes and i would want to be playing games like bf3. As for intel being faster , i dont mind if its intel or amd aslong as it stays on budget. And the case is a xigmatek midguard which i picked up from my local store.

Thank you for your inputs, i will probably go with Stulids build as soon as i have the money, however how do the 560 ti and 6850 compare. And out of interest can anyone recommend a good opical drive and monitor (under 23) as i cant seem to tell the difference between them all.

Few questions. Do all these components come with the required cables? Which mb is better out of the 2? And do you need to buy extra fans for the case if you dont overclock? Sorry about the endless questions lol.
