Hey trying to budget myself to about £1000-1200 for my i7 build, heres my list atm:

*Things I'm really not sure about,

RAM: I need low profiles because of the heatsink but not sure which to get, I like the look of these but not many reviews yet but also considering OCZ gold ram 1600 or 2000, any ideas ??

Graphics Card: This seems to be great value but would it be best to run XFX ATI Radeon HD 4890 1024MB GDDR5 in SLI or something ??

SSD: Not sure which SSD I should have for performance, cruicial M225 was my other consideration, or run normal hard drives in RAID 0. What do you think I should do ??

MOBO:I like the look of this one but also considering GIGA UD5 or Asus Rampage II Extreme.

I really want a quiet, high performance system that will last. I will be using it for gaming, Movies, online, photoshop, burning dvds etc.

Also give me some ideas or cases, worried the Lian Li I chose was too small, and was going to get a window for it :)

What do you think ? Please try and use this weeks PROMOs, JAN SALE and This weeks Sales to save me as much as poss haha, thanks

first of all id change the paste to MX-3 its much better than the stuff in the pic
RAM: the ocz gold is on a forum promo and so much cheaper than the geil you specified but identical in performance(OCZ gold 12800 by the way)
GFX: avoid going crossfire from thr start as it ruins future upgrade opportunities the 5850 is a very good card
SSD: good choice but id advise you to add an F3 500gb or 1tb as 60gb wont last long
MOBO: no idea, doubt them 3 are too different from each other
Case: personal taste its down to you :)
i advise buy now or asap as you are using two formum promos and they are only staying if the stock stays
All thats left to say is good luck :D

Add an Akasa PWM splitter so you can run both fans from the same header on the motherboard.

I've got the Rampage + Megahalems + Apache combination and RAM-wise, you're fine with 3 sticks - you'll only need low profile stuff if you're going to fill all 6 slots. I don't know whether this is still the case for the P6TD though.

Just updated my list, with the awesome looking new case from cooler master. What you think ?

And also its a pre order case, will OCs still let me have the PROMO offers ?

Have a look at the Fractal Define case. Very good, and in stock.

As Hovisloaf says, you're going to need a storage drive too - the 500GB F3 is only £40.
