Hi, I dont know if this is the right forum but anyway.

I am trying to install Vista64 on a raid0 setup.

When it comes to installing vista I load the drivers for the raid controller but then I get a message that windows cant install to the drive  It seems to be showing it fine in the listing, but gives a 0x8007000d error code when I try to install to the raid.

Any ideas whats going on? or what I can do.

Hardware:
MSI K9A
X2 AM2 6000+
2Gb Corsair XMS2 6400
2*160Gb WDC SATA drives
1*80Gb WDC SATA drive (current Vista drive)
1*40Gb WDC IDE drive (XP installed, backup)

Do I need to check some Bios settings?

Ive had Vista installed on a separate single drive for about a year now, I just think I'd like to benefit a bit from Raid like I had on my old XP setup, otherwise Ive wasted money on these drives.

Thanks

The error number seems to indicate a corrupt data type error. Perhaps the fault is not with your driveTry installing with only one RAM stick installed, swap if need be. I found Vista very picky about memory, perhaps one of the sticks is causing the data to become corrupt. This is only a guess, but it may help.

But would any error in my RAM be evident in running Vista already?

The current setup (minus the two drives) has been running for ~a year now without any major problems that I've noticed, only a couple of hiccups with display drivers.

I have another set of ram, which I plan to add soon to bring it up to 4Gb, I'll try with those in and see if that makes any difference.
