I want to build a prototype idea I have for a very minimal cost, so am scrowing the internet for existing objects I can bodge together just to see if it works.

I need a joint or a combination of two working parts. As shown in the diagram it needs to have this ability.

I believe I can get the 180 degree movement with this joint, although there maybe be a better options (hence me asking)

However I would need to fix this to a swivel plate of some kind to then allow it to rotate 360°

Does anyone know of anything that combines these two things or the names of these particular joints and where I can go get them. Thanks

Dont know what going on with the images can't seem to embed them at all. Weird.

Yes and no. It might end up with a small load on the joint so not sure how that would handle it.

That would do the job but it's a little small. I am looking at something like this

Just wondering if there is something a little tidier that could be had from somewhere like B&Q/Screwfix etc, I can't weld and I don't know how I'm going to fix these things together. :D

Some sort of ball joint might work. Possibly too small range of movement though.

You could even make your own quite easily:

I was initially going with the ball joint route but could not find any with a range above about 45°. Your image might work but it needs to be free moving and I see that being quite rough.
Thanks though.

Trust me the actual useage, I have an entire store full of bits & bobs, I might be able to find something.

Ok What I am thinking now of doing is this.
M12 rod either side of this universal angle joint.

Connected into a 12mm bore rotary bearing. (Thanks Loam)
