Hello all!

I built a new system and I have had my SP120l's plugged into the mobo which were fine and quite.

However, I purchased the following: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CB-079-AK

After plugging my SP120l's into the splitter I have linked above the noise increased and was incredibly loud and unbearable.

All of my other fans are just fine and are at the same sound level as before using the splitter.

Currently I have the SP120l's plugged back into the mobo as the sound was unbearable. Hopefully there is a way round to lowering the fans in bios or something?

Did you connect the splitter to the cpu fan header?

Nope, am I supposed to? I plugged the splitter into system fan 2 on the mother board

And I then connected the cpu cooler wire to the cpu fan header. I wanted to dedicate the cpu fan header just for the cpu cooler and nothing else if that makes sense?

If wrong please correct me :D

For the PWM splitter to work with the sp's, (im assuming you have the PWM versions of theese fans)? You need to connect the small 4 pin connector to the cpu header on your board, then attach the sp fans to two of the connectors on the splitter cable. PWM control is usually only available on the cpu and optional cpu fan headers.

Silly me...sorry about my noobness. I will try it first thing tomorrow and let you know how it goes!

Thanks for the advice!
