Hi Overclockers peeps,

OK fairly simple problem but I'm not sure what the best solution is. I just moved into a student house with some friends for my second year, and we had Virgin 30mb installed. It works perfectly when in range of it, but my PC is too far to pick it up.

I tried using a range extender from PC world but it didn't work very well. My internet cuts out every 1-2 minutes, making any streaming or game playing impossible.

I've researched Powerline Adapters, but they seem slightly too expensive (~£40), and I've been told an ethernet cable long enough (~40m) will cause the connection to be weak. Are there any other solutions? Or an affordable Powerline Adapter?

Thanks guys!
