Need Help With New Internet

Leave and sign up with Virgin under your girlfriend/wife/parents name.

Ah, did not think of that.
Sooo
I ring them and tell them i want to leave. Unless they do not offer me a decent package, I say i want to quit.
I quit
I buy that package as a new customer using my parents name.
Done?

Yes.

If you do get all the way (because they don't offer you a discount) do it via a cashback website like Topcashback and save a bit on the package cost.

FYI, they're offering quite a lot of cashback, at the moment :)

when i go to buy the package, it gives me these options .

Selecting the first one is the only way, but can they take action against me or anything? Is it fully legal?
Just want to be sure

That screenshot is from Topcashback (a cashback website). Register there for the time being and I will get to that bit later.

This is what I'd do personally..

1) Ring Virgin, tell them you want a better deal or you will cancel and go to BT.
2) Depending on what they offer then you may want to accept the offer, or ask to cancel (tip: be firm and say things like "I don't want to leave but..." and "I've been a customer for xx years, I hope you can offer me an incentive to stay" etc)
3) Cancel your subscription
4) The day is goes dead, use your phone or a PC at a friends house to visit topcashback
5) Browse the site for Virgin broadband deals.. you will see a list of cashback deals (like the screenshot I posted)
6) Click the "get deal" button next to the package you want.. this will take you through to the Virgin website. This is normal.
7) Sign up for Virgin broadband as a new customer, using your name (it won't matter as you're a new customer now)
8) A few days later check your cashback account at topcashback, it should say you've earned cashback
9) Withdraw money to your bank account and be happy

It is totally legal. All you're doing is taking advantage of affiliate links on topcashback. Your purchase goes through Virgin the same as normal :)

I very much doubt you'll need to cancel totally, so all of that may be useless to you.. I expect they'd offer you the same deals as a new customer if you pressed them. Just don't expect the whole package for £25 a month :p In the example I posted, if you signed up for the top package, you'd get their deal of 6 months reduced, but topcashback would give you an extra £131.25 for going through them. I use this cashback method for all my online shopping.
