Need help with openSUSE

Basically I've installed Apache and MySQL, and what I'm trying to do is to be able to run my executable from Firefox but it just keeps asking to save the file, it works in our Uni but i can't seem to get it to work.

I've never properly used Linux before and help would be very much appreciated!

Basically im trying to run my executable file from Firefox e.g. "localhost/~nem/cgi-bin/hello3?david+haskins" but it all it does is ask me to save the file instead of running it within the browser.

Edit: I've got it working i put the files in the wrong file god dammit!, thanks anyways mate
