Hello,
This is my first time doing this so you will have to forgive me if i miss anything!

System Specs:
Asus Z87 Maximus VI Extreme
Intel Core i7 4770K 3.50GHz
16GB ddr3 2133mhz ram
x2 Geforce GTX 780Ti
Corsair AX1200i PSU
x3 case fans and a Corsair Hydro H80i

So here is the run down i wasnt awake when this happened but the person that was using it reported that they where playing prey on it and then it just randomly turned of it didnt shut down but just the power went out and now it wont turn on the motherboard appears to show some lights showing that its getting power the start and reset buttons on it and the front overclock panel has something on it ive never seen before THIS

I know im probably gunna have to replace a part im just not sure what and i dont wanna sit there throwing money at possible solutions this is my first gaming pc rig so im at a lose for what to do here thanks a lot for any help anyone can give me!

First order of business is try to see it can be made boot/POST in any way and bracket where problem might be.
That kind "black out" and and no longer booting hints to hardware problem...
Llike something preventing motherboard from giving PSU start signal, something causing PSU to instant shutdown, or it possibly being broken.

So down to minimum components with one graphics card (try one at time) and no storage devices connected.

Might want to also to do jumpstart test on PSU if you have multimeter to see if voltages are where they should be.
Might really check 5V stand by already before that.
You can thank Corsair and their no colour coded wires BS fashion for needing to count pins of connector instead of just connecting green to black.

Wouldn't it be also much nicer to just check voltage coming from purple wire than needing to count pins?

Hello,

Thanks a lot did all this and it worked one of the graphics card's was proper toasted lol smelt awful now that i got a chance to smell it without someone in the room smooking dunno why i didnt notice the smell before though is a very distinctive smell thanks for all the help!

Probably VRM of that card burned to some kind short.
If located next to each others without space in between multiple graphics cards cause additional heat stress.
And non-reference coolers can have even worser problems because of messy airflow design.

Burnt electronics usually gives clear smell, if not "smoke signals".
But smoking could surely cover it...
And besides being harmful to people is eventually harmfull to electronics.
Once saw insides of TV which had been in bar with people smoking in there...
Basically looked like inorganic variant of smoker's lungs.
