Hi! there people just need some rough advice one overclocking my amd phenom II 3.2 1090t. I have recently up'ed my clock speeding using the multiplier to 3.7ghz, disabled cool and quiet in bios and more or less left everything at auto, all the temps are well below 50c so temp is not an issue. I would like to know I am doing everything right or is there something else I should be doing like altering the freqencies and the voltage of the cpu. Can someone give me rough idea what I should be doing or give me some setting's where I can an idea of what to do!

This is what I have in my rig:

Asus m4a78lt-m motherboard
AMD Phenom II 3.2ghz 1090t
Consair xms3 1600mhz ddr3 ram
Zalman CNPS10X performa 120mm cpu cooler

Hey, I am no hardcore overclocker but here's my input for what it's worth.
I opted to overclock my 1090t using just the multiplier.
I set the normal multiplier to x18 and seperately set the turbo multilpier to x20

That way it's 3.6ghz on all 6 cores and can go to 4.0ghz when using 3 or less with turbo mode. I left everything else on auto. When under heavy/ full load the volts go up to max 1.45 which I'm happy with.

I leave cool & quite on, multiplier overclocking should be stable with cool & quiet on, you are just wasting lots of electricity running 6 cores flat out while checking your e-mail.

Obviously, your results may vary, that's just what I did.
